Why study it:

Painting at Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (UJD) is a three-year Bachelor's programme (first-cycle) with a general academic profile and the easel painting specialisation, taught in English at the Faculty of Arts and leading to the title of licencjat sztuki (Bachelor of Arts). It prepares you for independent artistic work and for active participation in the art market.

Programme: classic techniques and new media

The syllabus combines classic easel and architectural painting techniques with broadly understood contemporary painting: new media, scenography, graphics, photography, intermedia and the basics of interior design. Workshop education covers easel painting, wall painting, drawing and new media in art, can be extended with additional specialisations in graphics or scenography, and is supported by the theory and history of art and culture, aesthetics and philosophy.

You are encouraged to take part in artistic and scientific activity outside the university – organising exhibitions and conferences of students and young academics, and working in student groups. Faculty members also organise international plein-airs, exhibitions, creative workshops, symposiums and conferences.

Exchanges: Erasmus partners in Europe and beyond

You can take part in exchange programmes such as Erasmus. Partner universities include, among others:
