Hospitality is a specialisation within the Tourism and Hospitality programme (bachelor’s) at the Gdańsk University of Physical Education and Sport (AWFiS), a three-year, full-time course with a practical profile, taught in English. It suits students who see their future in hotels, wellness and guest service rather than in organising travel.

Specialisation: focus on the hotel side

On top of the shared foundation of the Tourism and Hospitality programme, the emphasis here is on running hotels and other accommodation facilities, including wellness and spa services. Students work on promoting and selling hotel services, on each element of customer service, and on registering, managing and settling their own business in the hotel sector.

Placements: classes in hotel facilities

Many classes are held in real hotel facilities. This lets students test guest service, sales and teamwork in a working environment while still at university.

After graduation: hotel careers

• hotels and other accommodation facilities
• wellness and spa facilities
• sales and promotion of hotel services
• a business of one’s own in the hotel sector
