Leadership and Statecraft is a specialisation within the International Relations programme at Lazarski University in Warsaw, taught in English over two years of full-time master's studies. It is for you if you aspire to leading roles in diplomacy, government or international organisations.
Leadership is more than formal authority: it takes an understanding of political processes, the ability to engage in dialogue and to decide responsibly under pressure. The programme examines how power is exercised, how political strategies are formed and how key decision-making institutions work in practice, drawing on politics, diplomacy and public policy. You do not only study leadership but practise it, in debates, policy simulations and collaborative projects. The flexible structure lets you balance your studies with professional responsibilities. In the final semesters you choose seminars such as Leadership from the Ancients to the Moderns, and Liberty, Citizenship and State.
