Why study it:

The Bachelor in Management at Kozminski University in Warsaw is a three-year, full-time first-cycle (Bachelor's) programme taught in English over six semesters. It is designed for students who want a managerial or entrepreneurial career in Polish or international companies.

Programme: business foundations in a real-world setting

Semesters I–III are core courses: principles of management, law, psychology, marketing and finance, microeconomics and macroeconomics, managerial statistics, preparing financial statements, project management and corporate finance. Later you take managerial accounting, corporate and business law, a business plan, strategic management, basic negotiation skills and management business games. Courses in generative AI for managers and agile digital product design show you how to use AI in business decisions.

Specialisation: five majors

Major courses run in semesters IV and VI, and the chosen major appears on your diploma:

  • Sustainable Business with ESCP Business School,
  • Marketing,
  • International Management,
  • Entrepreneurship,
  • Luxury Management – the newest addition.

Placements: internship and study visits

A mandatory three-week internship is part of the sixth semester. During the programme you can also join study visits to company headquarters and presentations given by company representatives on campus – recent meetings included T-Mobile Polska, J.P. Morgan and JTI (Japan Tobacco International).

Languages: Business English plus a second language

Besides Business English (or Polish), you learn a second foreign language – German, Polish, Spanish, Chinese or French – during the first three semesters.

Exchanges: mobility window and double degree

The fifth semester is a “Mobility Window”: you can spend it on international exchange or summer schools abroad and take electives without worrying about course differences.

In the second year you can also go to one of four partner institutions for a double degree programme and graduate with diplomas from both Kozminski and the partner university.

After graduation: management, marketing, international business

Graduates find work, among others:

  • in Polish branches of foreign companies and in international corporations,
  • in marketing, advertising and PR departments, or as marketing consultants,
  • in strategic planning and development, or developing foreign markets,
  • in international cooperation roles in public administration and NGOs,
  • running their own business – including taking over a family firm.

Management (or managing) is the administration of an organization, whether it is a business, a not-for-profit organization, or government body. Management includes the activities of setting the strategy of an organization and coordinating the efforts of its employees (or of volunteers) to accomplish its objectives through the application of available resources, such as financial, natural, technological, and human resources. The term "management" may also refer to those people who manage an organization.
Management
It is better to first get the right people on the bus, the wrong people off the bus, and the right people in the right seats, and then figure out where to drive.
Jim C. Collins (2001). Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap...and Others Don't p. 41.
Management
Poorly managed corporations, disorganized businesses, and badly led service agencies experience crisis daily and most will eventually fail. In contrast, the danger is to well organized, smooth running institutions that may not recognize a building crisis. Too often, sound organizations rely on their normal modus operandi to pull them through a crisis. It might. But at what cost? And what if it does not pull them through?
Wheeler L. Baker, Crisis Management: A Model for Managers (1993), p. 6
Management
Management as an activity has always existed to make people’s desires through organized effort. Management facilitates the efforts of people in organized groups and arises when people seek to cooperate to achieve goals.
Daniel A. Wren and Arthur G. Bedeian. The evolution of management thought, 1972, p. 11-12
