The Bachelor in Management and Sociology in Business and Media at Kozminski University in Warsaw is a three-year, full-time first-cycle (Bachelor's) programme taught in English. It suits students who want to understand how media, digital technologies and society shape business – and to analyse economic behaviour, attitudes and public opinion.
The programme has many discussion and workshop-based classes that link management theory and practice with the role of traditional and new media. Alongside marketing, microeconomics and statistics in management, you take Mediaworking, Information Architecture and Media User Experience Design, Methods of Media Research, Internet Marketing and E-Business, Design Thinking and Service Design, Crises and Media, Digital Public Relations, Artificial Intelligence in Business and Media, and Big Data and Data Science in Business and Media. Some choices are yours: Human Capital Management or Well-being in Organizations, Media Monitoring or Data Mining, Business Law or Media Law.
Mandatory internships take you to traditional and new media as well as to companies specialising in digital research and communication technologies; programme partners include Gemius, Grupa CANAL+ Polska, Newspoint, brief.pl and mElements.
Your first foreign language runs in semesters I–IV and the second in semesters I–III; you choose the second one from Spanish, German, Chinese and French. In semesters V and VI you also take conversation classes in English.
Graduates work in companies and institutions of the information society: advertising and PR agencies, internet marketing firms, consulting firms, traditional and digital media, editorial teams of online portals, e-commerce, government and local administration, and non-governmental organisations.
You can also continue at Kozminski's doctoral school, which awards doctoral degrees in management and in sociology.
