Intelligent Systems and Data Science is a specialisation within the Computer Science programme, a full-time Bachelor's course taught in English at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology (PJAIT). It suits anyone who wants to move into artificial intelligence with a strong emphasis on analysing and processing data.
You build a solid theoretical base in machine learning: algorithms for classification, regression and clustering, plus methods for evaluating and optimising models. Python is the central language of the specialisation, so you work with its rich ecosystem of open-source libraries for machine learning, natural language processing and data analysis. In practice you train models using hardware acceleration and manage experiments and environment configurations. The specialisation courses are Fundamentals of Machine Learning and AutoML, and in the last semester you are encouraged to take Architecture of AI Solutions and Implementations.
The programme joins classic and current topics of artificial intelligence:
Graduates are prepared to work in sectors such as medicine, finance, industry and new technologies, where advanced data analysis and generative AI systems are becoming ever more important.
Thesis topics show what you will be able to do: analysing medical images with deep learning, classifying text for automatic document processing, detecting fraud in financial transactions, or building a virtual assistant for customer service based on natural language processing.
