Computer Network suits people who prefer the infrastructure side of IT, where the goal is networks that stay up, stay secure and can be managed. It belongs to the Information Technology programme at Collegium Da Vinci in Poznań.

Here the emphasis falls on the systems behind every office and service:

• building and maintaining IT infrastructure
• configuring local networks and network devices
• administering network systems and keeping them secure
• monitoring systems and handling incidents
• planning IT projects with time, budget and risk in view
• elective topics such as system applications for network administrators

Languages: seven semesters in English

Teaching is in English throughout. The path belongs to a seven-semester engineering degree, so networking work goes hand in hand with courses in programming and site reliability engineering. Internships, arranged with the help of the university's Career Office, let you try this work inside a real company.

After graduation: administration and security jobs

Typical jobs: IT systems administrator, computer network administrator, IT infrastructure designer and network security engineer.
