Why study it:

Management at Akademia WSB-NLU in Nowy Sącz is a three-year, six-semester bachelor's programme, studied full-time on the Nowy Sącz campus from Monday to Friday. At WSB-NLU you choose one of three specialisations – business analysis, digital marketing or event management – so the degree suits anyone who wants a management foundation with a clear professional focus.

Programme: a shared management core

Whichever specialisation you choose, the programme includes:

  • Fundamentals of Management and Managerial Economics
  • Information Retrieval and Intellectual Property Protection
  • Project Management and Marketing Research
  • Quality Management and spreadsheet applications (Business Analyst, Digital Marketing Manager)
  • Reporting and Data Analysis (Business Analyst, Event Manager)

Specialisation: analysis, online marketing or events

Three specialisations

  • Digital Marketing Managersocial media marketing, distribution and sales management, HR management and basic graphics for online ads
  • Event Managerpsychology, negotiations, creative thinking and an event organisation case study; budgeting and documenting event projects

Placements: learning alongside practitioners

The programme is primarily practical. On the Business Analyst track you are taught by lecturers who practise business analysis, and on Event Manager by professionals who organise large-scale events every day. Event Manager students also help run events connected with WSB-NLU, such as sports events, cooking workshops and charity fundraisers, while Digital Marketing Manager includes apprenticeships that give you professional experience.

Languages: Polish classes on every track

Polish language classes are part of all three specialisations, and Event Manager adds English – foreign-language proficiency is treated there as essential for coordinating events.

After graduation: three directions, plus a master's option

Each specialisation points to its own field: business and process analysis, project management and financial data analysis; online advertising, social media, PR and e-commerce; or organising concerts, sports events, trade fairs, conferences and weddings.

If you want to continue, WSB-NLU's second-degree offer in Management includes Financial Management, Data Analysis and Global Business Management.

Did you know? The NLU in the name is historical: since 2018 WSB-NLU has not run study programmes with National Louis University in the United States, and the two are separate institutions.

As of the 2026/27 admissions, based on the programme pages at wsb-nlu.edu.pl.

⇑Definitions and quotes

Management
Management (or managing) is the administration of an organization, whether it is a business, a not-for-profit organization, or government body. Management includes the activities of setting the strategy of an organization and coordinating the efforts of its employees (or of volunteers) to accomplish its objectives through the application of available resources, such as financial, natural, technological, and human resources. The term "management" may also refer to those people who manage an organization.
Management
Poorly managed corporations, disorganized businesses, and badly led service agencies experience crisis daily and most will eventually fail. In contrast, the danger is to well organized, smooth running institutions that may not recognize a building crisis. Too often, sound organizations rely on their normal modus operandi to pull them through a crisis. It might. But at what cost? And what if it does not pull them through?
Wheeler L. Baker, Crisis Management: A Model for Managers (1993), p. 6
Management
Management as an activity has always existed to make people’s desires through organized effort. Management facilitates the efforts of people in organized groups and arises when people seek to cooperate to achieve goals.
Daniel A. Wren and Arthur G. Bedeian. The evolution of management thought, 1972, p. 11-12
Management
Understanding the concept of competency is a prerequisite to understanding his integrated model of management.
