Why study it:

Cybersecurity Analyst is a specialisation of the engineering degree in Computer Science at Akademia WSB-NLU in Nowy Sącz – seven semesters (three and a half years) of full-time study on campus, Monday to Friday. WSB-NLU designed it for people who like IT and want to learn modern cyber-defence methods, personal data protection and how to prepare security reports and analyses.

Programme: attack, defence and data protection

Specialist classes include:

  • Cryptography and Reverse Engineering
  • Data Security Audit and Threat Analysis
  • Personal Data Administration
  • Computer Networks, Internet of Things and System Engineering
  • Programming in C++ and Java, and Human–Computer Interaction

Specialisation: protecting a company's data and identity

The specialisation prepares you to protect a company's intellectual property and the data it processes, including data entrusted by customers. You learn the principles of building cybersecurity in organisations, how to look after IT data in an enterprise and how to apply methods that protect against identity theft on the internet.

Labs: Hack The Box Laboratory

Hack The Box Laboratory is one of the specialist classes, and most classes in the programme are practical – you build analytical skills, work in groups and apply what you learn in a simulated production environment.

After graduation: security roles in business and the public sector

Graduates can work as security analysts or IT security specialists in private companies, state organisations and public institutions, as personal data administrators or as IT audit specialists.

Other options include crisis management, intelligence work, protecting sensitive information and training others in IT security.

As of the 2026/27 admissions, based on the programme pages at wsb-nlu.edu.pl.
