Business Application Developer – called Business Application Programmer in parts of the university's page – is a specialisation of the engineering degree in Computer Science at Akademia WSB-NLU in Nowy Sącz. WSB-NLU aims it at people who love computing and the internet and want to prepare practically for work as programmers of web, mobile and desktop business applications.
Programming subjects build up towards business software:
The heart of the specialisation is project work: during your studies you programme an advanced business application, following the principles used by professional programming teams at the largest software companies. Learning to code is tied closely to delivering projects rather than to textbook exercises. The course was developed by professionals with years of programming experience, and it puts particular emphasis on C++, UML, Java and SQL.
You graduate with a first-cycle engineering degree in Computer Science after seven semesters of full-time study on campus in Nowy Sącz, Monday to Friday.
Graduates are prepared to work as programmers – software engineers, developers, backend or web developers, application testers and system engineers.
UI designer and software architect are also listed among the roles open to graduates.
