AI Engineer is a specialisation of the engineering degree in Computer Science at Akademia WSB-NLU in Nowy Sącz. WSB-NLU designed it for analytically minded, curious people who enjoy combining mathematics and computer science to solve practical technical problems.
The specialisation covers designing, training and optimising machine learning models and working with large data sets, including images and video. You learn how AI systems operate, how to build natural language processing modules and use generative models, and how to implement AI solutions in business environments by integrating them with applications. The detailed study programme has not yet been published – the university's page marks it as coming soon.
Using AI tools well is only the starting point: the specialisation is aimed at people who want to understand how computers learn, explore how AI systems are built and work, and improve and adapt them to specific challenges, developing analytical, technical and design skills.
