1. You have an idea for an app. What is your first step?

I talk to potential users, check the competition and build a simple prototype to test whether people really need it. I start building the full app straight away. I keep the idea to myself and do nothing.

2. Your prototype gets lukewarm feedback from the first users. How do you react?

I analyse what they say, look for the real problem and pivot or improve the product. I feel discouraged, but I might try again. I give up – it obviously won’t work.

3. How do you feel about pitching your project to investors?

Excited – I’d prepare a clear business model, numbers and a story that shows the potential. Nervous, but I’d try with a lot of preparation. I’d never do it.

4. Your classmates come from many countries and work in English on joint start-up projects. How does that sound?

Perfect – an international team in English is the best preparation for building a digital business beyond one market. Fine, though negotiating and pitching in English would be a challenge. I’d rather work with people from my own country in my own language.

5. An online shop has lots of visitors but few purchases. What would you look at?

The customer journey, conversion data, pricing and user experience, then test changes one by one. The design – maybe a nicer look would help. Nothing – it’s down to luck.

6. How do you approach the technical side of digital products?

I may not code everything myself, but I understand the technology well enough to work with developers and make decisions. I prefer to leave technology to others completely. I avoid anything technical.

7. Which business model interests you most?

Platforms, subscriptions or marketplaces – I like analysing how they make money and scale. I haven’t thought about it. None – business models bore me.

8. How do you feel about risk and uncertainty?

I accept them as part of building something new and try to manage them with data and quick experiments. I can handle some risk, but I prefer stability. I avoid risk at all costs.

9. Where can you see yourself after this degree?

Running my own start-up, leading digital innovation in a company or working in a venture capital fund. Working in a digital company, though not necessarily in a leading role. Nowhere connected with business or technology.

10. What motivates you most to pursue a Master’s degree in Digital Entrepreneurship?

The chance to launch and grow my own digital venture or drive innovation in an existing company. Learning more about the digital economy in case it helps my career. I’m not sure it’s for me
