Computer Science at AGH University of Krakow is a first-cycle engineering programme run by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering together with three other AGH faculties. It is for those who want to design, build and use computer systems, from theory to working software.
Alongside mathematics, physics and computer science foundations, you study:
After the sixth semester you complete a student internship, where the engineering knowledge gained in class is put to practical use.
Graduates can work as IT specialists designing and implementing software in various technologies, including database and web technologies, and can secure and administer such systems. In teams they can take on roles that require advanced computing knowledge – creating and analysing algorithms and mapping them onto hardware, including high-performance parallel hardware – as well as mathematical skills such as building numerical models and estimating computational errors.
