Finance at the Poznań University of Economics and Business (PUEB) is an interdisciplinary Bachelor's (first-cycle) programme taught in English, open to both international and Polish students. It combines general knowledge of economics and management with theoretical and practical knowledge of finance – for those who want to work with money, markets and investments.
You learn how financial markets work, what drives changes in security prices and how to build efficient investment portfolios – and how to use analytical tools to make financially responsible and ethical decisions, managing finances on both a micro- and macroeconomic scale.
The programme is based on four areas: accounting (corporate and business accounting, managerial accounting, tax systems), finance (public, corporate and local government finance, the EU financial system, behavioural finance), insurance (personal and commercial insurance) and management (private asset and wealth management, portfolio management).
Finance is part of the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program – its curriculum embeds a significant portion of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge, including the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.
Thanks to the analytical approach to how companies function, graduates find work for example in:
