Cosmetology (Master's) at WAMT (Warszawska Akademia Medyczno-Techniczna Nauk Stosowanych) is a second-cycle programme with two specialisations: Bioesthetic Cosmetology and Clinical Cosmetology. You can apply after a first-cycle degree in Cosmetology, or after another field whose leading discipline is medical sciences, physical education sciences, health sciences or medical biology – in that case you first complete a remedial course before the first semester.
Both specialisations go deeper than a first-cycle degree into the processes behind cosmetic work. You study how cells and tissues respond during a procedure – to physical factors, cosmetic substances, preparations and equipment – and learn to choose methods and products on that basis. The aim is to select a procedure that is justified for a given client rather than a standard one.
