Data Processing Technologies is a specialisation of the 1.5-year Master’s programme in Computer Science at the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz (AHE), taught in English. It is for graduates of first-cycle studies who want to work with large and complex data sets – analysing, managing and processing information.
The general Master’s curriculum in English is equivalent to the Polish one and gives all students shared competences in advanced software engineering, modern programming technologies with Python, and system security and quality. Classes use design work, workshops and case studies based on real problems from the IT profession. They are taught by researchers, practitioners and specialists with experience in the IT industry.
Key subjects and topics of the specialisation include:
The English-taught specialisation is equivalent to its Polish version at second-cycle level, so you follow the same programme while studying and working in English.
The specialisation prepares graduates to work as data scientists, data analysts, Big Data engineers and designers of advanced IT systems in organisations that base their strategies and decisions on data. It also suits those who want to become data engineers for training AI models.
Graduates of computer science at AHE also find work in companies developing AI solutions, including large language models, in research and development institutions and in technology startups.
