Finance and Accountancy major prepares specialists who will be able to successfully fill managerial positions in various financial institutions and banks. The main objective is to train specialists with a full profile of qualifications in finance and accounting. The knowledge gained during the studies is well rooted in contemporary theories of financial market and provides the practical background for future professionals. The graduates of the programme will be well prepared to specialize in the management of financial institutions and to be employed in small and big accountancy firms. They will be ready to meet the challenges of the quickly changing job market and to continue education in II - cycle mode.

Graduate's profile
Finance and Accounting major will provide graduates with general economic education, systematic theoretical knowledge of economic and financial subjects together with practical abilities in selected areas. Graduates of Finance and Accounting will possess the ability to collect and process information from different sources on issues of accounting and finance, evaluate its relevance, analyse and take decisions. On these grounds they should be able to shape their career and to contribute to the dynamic development of their place of work.
Graduates in Finance and Accounting major will:
- have a general knowledge of the basic and specific subjects included in the standards of studyingknow and understand the basic principles, functions and mechanisms of the economic environment and market system
- have basic knowledge in a particular specialty together with managerial competence,
- skillfully use the acquired knowledge in evaluating, analyzing and solving social and economic problems,
- be prepared to act independently in business,
- be able to communicate fluently in foreign languages, including advanced level in the specialist terminology of chosen specialty.
