Researchers from the Nencki Institute studied the secrets of short-term memory

Researchers at M. Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS experimentally confirmed the determinants of the short-term memory capacity, crucial for the functioning of our consciousness. The Nencki Institute announced that a person can consciously simultaneously operate five to nine portions of information. During processing portions, these portions remain in short-term memory.

Studia podyplomowe - Współczesne edytorstwo wielojęzyczne

Do 29 lutego trwa nabór na podyplomowe studia edytorskie. Skierowane są one do osób, które ukończyły jednolite magisterskie bądź studiów I lub II stopnia o dowolnym profilu, pragnących uzyskać kwalifikacje zawodowe w zakresie edytorstwa. Cykl kształcenia obejmuje 270 obowiązkowych godzin dydaktycznych odpowiadających 65 punktom ECTS. Zajęcia mają charakter ćwiczeń, konwersatoriów lub wykładów. Odbywają się w systemie niestacjonarnym co dwa tygodnie w piątki i w soboty.

About the programme

Students at the Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology will obtain background in two areas – technology of mining engineering and power generation based on lignite and hard bituminous coal. Other fields of knowledge obtained will include alternative sources of energy and new technologies in this sector.

Apart from the two main topic areas the programme will cover subjects in statistics, thermodynamics, CAD/CATIA software application, financial and project management as well as machine operation management.

Summer industrial placement in lignite, coal mines and companies run on these fuels is a part of this programme and provides students with working experience during their studies.
