Renewable Energy Systems - Wroclaw University of TechnologyFaculty of Electrical Engineering.
Programm available in October 2010.
The Programme offered by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. The four-semester duration is split up into three theory semesters and finally a Master Thesis semester. The 4-week industrial placement is a part of the studies as well. Our programme is aimed at preparing the students to an international environment, as they will encounter it during their later engineering career. We also put a lot of efforts in making young graduates of our University apply innovatively the acquired knowledge and qualifications, so that they are high class professionals, able to formulate and solve the problems and to face the challenges of the labour market of this day and age.
The programme is focused on new and challenging issues of renewable energy sources that
a integrated in power systems, with special attention paid to wind energy, photovoltaic cells, water power plants and energy storage systems. Integration of these sources in power systems, their control and protection as well as legal and investment problems are included in the programme. Growing share of distributed energy sources in power systems creates good opportunities for application of the acquired knowledge and skills in engineering practice at various positions in energy systems.
For limited number of best students a possibility of exchange with the University of Magdeburg, Germany, exists. After having spent the second year of studies in Germany the students will be awarded with two Master degrees – from each of the universities.
