Researchers from the Nencki Institute studied the secrets of short-term memory

Researchers at M. Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS experimentally confirmed the determinants of the short-term memory capacity, crucial for the functioning of our consciousness. The Nencki Institute announced that a person can consciously simultaneously operate five to nine portions of information. During processing portions, these portions remain in short-term memory.

Studia podyplomowe - Współczesne edytorstwo wielojęzyczne

Do 29 lutego trwa nabór na podyplomowe studia edytorskie. Skierowane są one do osób, które ukończyły jednolite magisterskie bądź studiów I lub II stopnia o dowolnym profilu, pragnących uzyskać kwalifikacje zawodowe w zakresie edytorstwa. Cykl kształcenia obejmuje 270 obowiązkowych godzin dydaktycznych odpowiadających 65 punktom ECTS. Zajęcia mają charakter ćwiczeń, konwersatoriów lub wykładów. Odbywają się w systemie niestacjonarnym co dwa tygodnie w piątki i w soboty.

About the programme

The Programme is offered by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. The four-semester duration is split up into three theory semesters and finally a Master Thesis semester. The 4-week industrial placement is a part of the studies as well. Our programme is aimed at preparing the students to an international environment, as they will encounter it during their subsequent engineering career. We also put a lot of efforts in making young graduates of our university apply innovatively the acquired knowledge and qualifications, so that they are high class professionals, able to formulate and solve the problems and to face the challenges of the labour market of this day and age.

The programme is focused on new and challenging issues of power system automation and control. The programme is devoted to the candidates interested in work related to electric power system control, reliability, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, protection and decision-making in power systems, energy market issues etc.

The program is run in cooperation with the Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada.
