Researchers at M. Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS experimentally confirmed the determinants of the short-term memory capacity, crucial for the functioning of our consciousness. The Nencki Institute announced that a person can consciously simultaneously operate five to nine portions of information. During processing portions, these portions remain in short-term memory.

The program of this specialization offers a sophisticated, critical, and interdisciplinary approach to international affairs and teaches students to apply tools of critical research to crucial world issues. It explores processes, forces and conceptions underpinning international relations, looking at the role of states (great, middle and other powers), international organizations, and multinational corporations and how they are intertwined.
The specialization aims at preparing students for analytical research on structures, processes and key factors indispensible to understand the international scene. The program gives a particular focus on issues that are vital for explaining overall global dynamics: globalization, security, terrorism, and human rights. It allows, however, for choosing many additional elective courses according to a student's choice and interests.
